Structure of the "Teaching and Learning" certificate

The "Teaching and Learning" certificate comprises a total of 32 work units and takes place in two blocks of events and a reflection section. It is made up of the basic module, the specialisation module and the reflection module.

The basic module comprises the two-day compulsory course "Fundamentals of tutorial teaching and counselling" and thus represents the prelude.

This is followed by the specialisation module . Here you can choose between the specialisations "Tutorial teaching skills" and "Counselling". Depending on your chosen specialisation, you will attend the two thematically related compulsory courses and one compulsory elective course. You can choose from the following options for the compulsory elective course: You take...

  • the course "Presenting and performing in teaching" or
  • "Dealing with disruptions and resistance" or
  • You complete two self-study units of your choice in our Moodle course(ZLL - compulsory elective area - self-study units) or
  • You attend a compulsory course from the other specialisation.

Last but not least, you complete the reflection moduleThis consists of the compulsory course "Reflection session", a mutual peer observation and the final written assignment, the reflection portfolio.
