Basic module

The basic module serves to acquire fundamental skills in the areas of leadership, project management and communication. It enables participants to develop a general understanding of their (future) field of activity in leadership or project management and to apply this acquired knowledge to their role.

The courses in the basic module are structured as follows:

In the subject area of ‘Leadership’, participants work on the following topics, among others:

Leadership roles in a university context and their individual design
Key leadership tasks (agreeing on goals, ensuring delegation and control, and promoting development)
Giving and receiving feedback
In the subject area of ‘Project Management’, participants work on the following topics, among others:

Fundamental aspects of project management (terms, roles, processes)
Planning and structuring projects using the PDCA cycle
Various process models, such as classic and agile project management
